Documents folder keeps reappearing on desktop

When I got my laptop just last week, I deleted the "Links" file and apparently my "Documents" went with it too. I somehow got both back, but now once in a while a new "Documents" folder pops up on my desktop. I keep deleting it, but it just keeps coming back. I am getting super annoyed, so if anyone could help, I'd appreciate it.

Double check using METHOD THREE in the tutorial below to make sure that
the "Documents" folder (Personal in registry) has the default location
set for it. It sounds like it may currently be located in the
"C:\Users\(users name)\Dekstop" or "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop" folder
instead.

Open Windows Explorer to:

C:\Users\<user>

Do you see Documents listed below this level? Or is it under:

C:\Users\<user>\Desktop

It should be the first one, yours may be the latter. Right click the
Documents folder, choose properties. On the Location tab, click the button
to reset the default location.
