Windows can`t open Add printer (0x000006be)

    Hello;

Does someone can help me.Vista ultimate I had a printer a few weeks ago
Ricoh AP410n and there where no problems. then a collega installed a HP5600
and then the problems started. You cannot install, remove or use a printer or
Server properties. The Printer spooler is not started. After you manuelly
start the spooler, you will receive Windows can`t open Add printer Operation
    could not be completed.(0x000006be)
Have found several suggestions on google but none of them worked.

    Thanks,

    Koen

    Koen,

The most likely cause for this problem (the spooler crashing) is a bad
driver installed on it. Unfortunately, since you can't get the spooler to
run, it's hard to remove the offending drivers. Check out the instructions
    here: http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;324757

I suggest you remove all drivers, then add them back one at a time, printing
test pages along the way. Make sure the drivers you are adding are
    specifically built for Vista.

    Dan,

Thanks, I also think that the problem was a driver. I removed all from files
and registry but that was not the answer. I now have copied the key spooler
and the key printers from the registry from another computer and I think it
    works now.
