    uninstall quicktime plugin in ie7

When I 1st ran vista, this crashing from the quicktime plugin was non existent.
Then trying to fix a problem, I got sucked into a complete reinstall after it started formatting my C: partition.
there was a burp or something after it got installed. and screwed up a few things. it was a M$ update that screwed things 1st time. 2nd time it happened I knew how to fix it. But the M$ update screwed many things. This one with the quicktime plugin is the last bug.

M$ fix is to remove or disable whatever it chokes on.
I can disable it, but there's no reason to since it works just fine with IE7 running. when I close IE7, that's when it chokes. Apologizes to me, finds it was a [???] plugin but it can't say which one that caused the problem, then tries to restart itself.

I know which plugin it's the quicktime plugin.

What I'd like to do is try and remove it, and reinstall it. But disable is the only option I have from IE's plugin's section.

Any idea how to actually remove and reinstall it in IE7 ?

uninstall quicktime from the Programs icon in the control panel? lol

and then (if you dont use iTunes) install quicktime alternative
    http://www.free-codecs.com/download/...lternative.htm

If you want itunes or have an ipod dont use the alternative.

That's what I did. No way to just un-install the plugin. A repair failed.
