| Drag and Drop Causes Explorer Crash
About half the time when using Explorer (File Manager) when I drag a file from the file pane to the folders pane it causes a kinfd of crash - I get a message that Explorer needs to restart and the explorer application shuts down. This may happen on a right clicj or a left click. I get the prompt below the dragged filenamesaying that a move will occur but when I release the mouse button it crashes. I am running Vista Business edition on a Sony Vaio TGN-TXN29N. I have found no ther post with the same complaint |

Yes sir it is. Vers 5.0.2424.0. I see that it is Bluetooth related. Why do you ask? "zachd [MSFT]" wrote: > > Is TosBTExt.dll on your system? | Re: Drag and Drop Causes Explorer Crash I'm also on a Sony Vaio laptop which has the Toshiba bluetooth chip. I exited the "Bluetooth Manager" in the system tray, and disabled the 4 or 5 bluetooth devices in device manager. This seems to have fixed Explorer crashing on drag & drop operations. Thanks Toshiba bluetooth. (Sony VGN-TZ90S) -- philcarter |

I am also on a Sony Vaio laptop and can confirm philcarter's finding. Turning off Toshiba Bluetooth will allow drag and drop in Windows Explorer to work. The alternate that works is to highlight the folders/files, copy and paste. Thanks for the discovery, philcarter. Need to check if Sony/Toshiba have a fix for this yet.... | Re: Drag and Drop Causes Explorer Crash
Hi, I just bought a Toshiba L200-P532. I also had the windows explorer and internet explorer crashes. So far turning off all blu tooth devices, controllers and software seemd to to have solved the problem. In other words Vista seems fine but some blue tooth vendors including Toashiba seems to have a problem.
