    Yes Derek, I went through the same hell as you before I found it.

    I tried using Swissknife but it wouldn't do 1tb, tried a few others but finally found :-
    Easeus Partition Master Home Edition 5.0.1 at download.com

    It did it so quickly and easily that I couldn't believe it and it is a free program.

    When using the command prompt to reformat my external drive do I need to remove the "C:\user\" before I type "format (drive letter): /fs:fat32?
