Re: Navigation to the webpage was cancelled I am having the same problem with an HP dv9207us I just bought from CompUSA. I have tried killing processes one by one to figure out what is causing it but have had no luck so far. It seems to pop up once every half-hour or so and contains the Day/Date in the title bar. If any of you have discovered the cause please share it. Thanks Stormrider550 -- stormrider550

Re: Navigation to the webpage was cancelled I found it! Go to control panel... administrative tools... task scheduler. Delete the Internet Offers task and the Registration task, these are both set to run every 30 minutes. If you right click them and select run you will get the annoying pop up. -- stormrider550

Re: Navigation to the webpage was cancelled I had the same problem. The pop-up is supposed to show some HP notification page. That is why the problem is specific to HP pc's/laptops. Thanks to the "fix" posted in this thread. -- mimicre

Re: Navigation to the webpage was cancelled I also have the most annoying popup with the above referenced message. I tried a suggestion from stormrider550 "Go to control panel... administrative tools... task scheduler. Delete the Internet Offers task and the Registration task" I was unable to delete these and after playing around with various other things, I am still getting this popup - mine appears every minute or so so it is so annoying - I've been using alt F4 to clear it - but am getting so sick of it. I'm running VISTA on an HP dv6000. Any other suggestions???? -- devlinnan

Re: Navigation to the webpage was cancelled Here is what you do to get rid of the problem. Do as the previous user suggested...that is, go to Control Panel, click on System and Maintenance, then scroll down to Administrative tools and click on Schedule Tasks. Under "Acive Tasks" on the bottom of the screen, double click on "InternetServiceOffers" and it will open up a new screen. At the top, under "Name" you should see InternetServiceOffers. Left-click on it to highlight it, and press your "delete" key. It should delete the file. It may ask for confirmation. Hope this helps. Thank you everyone who responded earlier, as it helped me. -- Helper
