| A program needs your permission to continue
The program is Trend Micro Antivirus 2007. I get the permission message every time I boot. Is there a way to have the program start without the permission to continue? Thanks |

| RE: A program needs your permission to continue
I've spent 6 weeks with Trend trying to find out how to avoid TAV (TrendAntiVirus) Controller having to ask administrator permission to run every time I boot. Trend's latest answer is to disable User Account Controls. I'm not pleased with that answer and have asked them to confirm. If you/anyone has another suggestion, I'd appreciate. If I get something else from Trend, I'll post it here. "Martha Focker" wrote: > The program is Trend Micro Antivirus 2007. I get the permission > message every time I boot. Dump Trend . A few good free Virus Programs out there. I use AVG Free. Works great. -- Carl G "PWL" <PWL@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:3AE747B0-9B11-43E5-B256-EB76219953E3@microsoft.com... > I've spent 6 weeks with Trend trying to find out how to avoid TAV > (TrendAntiVirus) Controller having to ask administrator permission to run > every time I boot. | RE: A program needs your permission to continue
After nearly two months of message exchange, Trend indicated they had a new release that would solve this problem. Their solution required uninstall of original program and download/installation of new version. It went fairly smoothly, and has fixed the problem.
