| Display of images in Vista as Thumbnails
I am using Vista Home Premium Edition, and I am unable to display images as thumbnails. I saw a couple of threads that offered the following suggestions: Run: regsvr32 %systemroot%\system32\shimgvw.dll or: Run: REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL My system responded that "The module "c:\Windows\system32\shimgvw.dll" was loaded but the entry-point DllRegisterServer was not found. I can't locate this file anywhere on my computer. I'm wondering if the installation was corrupted and I have to start all over, or can I find this file somewhere and add it? RChaney |

It appears that you have shimgvw.dll, or you would see "shimgvw.dll failed to load" and "the specified module could not be found" when running the command. Look again in C:\Windows\system32. Try this. In order for the icon to show a preview, in Control Panel> Folder Options, on the View tab under Advanced settings, "Always show icons, never thumbnails" must be unchecked.
