| "Media Center has stopped working"
I did an upgrade from MCE 2005 to Vista Home premium last night. This moring i tried to launch media center to see the changes. Just when i double clicked it i remembered that i hadnt istalled the Vista driver for my X1950XT yet, but there was nothing i could do. Media center opened for a second, then a blue screen with a long error message showed up and the computer re-booted. I immediatly Vista'd all the drivers on my computer once i was back on again. Now when i try to open media center, a message comes up saying "Media Center has stopped working. Searching for a solution". It tells me it will let me know when a solution to the problem becomes available. Can anyone tell me how to fix this? is it possible to re-install just media center and not the whole operating system? i couldnt find it in the Add/remove programs part of the control panel. Thanls in advance. |

Thanls in advance. Hi steve, I have the same problem. Whenever i click on mediacenter it gives me the error " Media center has stopped working" and is doing the same 'reporting the trouble to microsoft'. But on searching the groups and internet, i see that many are having this issue and iam not sure what microsoft is still doing to fix this after collecting huge sums of money for their products. |

I don't think there is a direct cause for it. Definitely a bug. -=plazticsoul=- |
