Windows 7 printing over WiFi network

We've recently replaced two laptops with Windows 7 models, and since then they're unable to print to a (Samsung brand) printer, that is connected to a desktop in the same network. They can see the printer as a shared one in their network environment, they're able to connect to it, but printing doesn't work. Strangely: printing to another printer (Dymo brand), also connected through usb to the same desktop, works fine. So it can't be a network sharing or configuration problem. What else can be wrong here?

The issue can be related to sharing permissions. When you are sharing printer over the lan, give full access to all users. If you have Windows server and there is an domain then you have to manage the rights of users. This is only issue of limited rights because of which users cannot printer. Just share the printer and provide full access to all and that's it. Then all will be able to print from the same.

I don't think this has anything to do with sharing permissions, and that for two reasons:
    - The sharing configurations for both printers (the Samsung AND the Dymo one) are identical, and we manage to print properly to the Dymo, but NOT to the Samsung.
    - We didn't change anything on the side of the desktop where both printers are attached with (through usb), the only thing that changed are the two laptops: the old, Windows Vista machines were replaced by new, Windows 7 machines. Since then... no more printing possible to the Samsung printer.

Can you tell us what is the make or model of the laptop that you are using, and what brand printer is it? Can you confirm whether the printer is setup as a local printer or as a printer on a print server? In any case, you must be able to connect to the printer on the laptops. Can you view all the networked Computers in the Network view?
