Yup, that's the one the Microsoft support person gave me the link to, and password for, yesterday. I installed it yesterday afternoon, and as of this AM, my taskbar is still stable. It could be that this is, finally, the fix to a very frustrating problem. I've notified Dell support. | Re: Taskbar DOES NOT WORK, Unclickable
You have to talk with Microsoft support to get the URL for the patch, and also a temporary password for it. My decaying taskbar problems ended last weekend when I installed the patch, and the problem hasn't returned even once over the past week. So, it's obviously the solution. I've talked with Dell support about the problem and solution, so they're aware of it and maybe they can help by now. But I'd sure try Microsoft first. "." wrote: > Read the article. You ring them. | I GOT IT!!!
I have a Gateway notebook with vista and had this same problem. It is due to the new start menu design, if you right click and go to properties and change to classic view. It does happen. Fine for me because the new look really sucks anyways EggHeadCafe.com - .NET Developer Portal of Choice http://www.eggheadcafe.com |

Did work for me the task bar now response normaly, and the preview window is not really usefull to me so if you can stop using that feature I guess it will work.
