| Need some help getting Netgear PS110 Printer Server to work
Hi I could do with some help getting a Netgear PS110 Printer Server to work on Windows Vista Home Premium. I can get it to print to one printer but not the other. If anyone has it working fully some help would be much appreciated. My two printers are a samsung ML4500 and an HP deskjet 5552. Does the device support the LPD service or Raw 9100 mode? What type of Port are you using to send data to the netgear device? -- Alan Morris Windows Printing Team Search the Microsoft Knowledge Base here: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;[ln];kbhowto This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. | Re: Need some help getting Netgear PS110 Printer Server to work Here's how to use your Neatgear PS110 with Vista: Open Control Panel and double-click Programs and Features. Click Turn Windows Features on or off Expand Print Services and check LPR Port Monitor and click OK. This will take a few minutes to install. Now go to Control Panel/Printers and Add a Printer. Select Create a New Port, choose LPR Port and click Next. Put the IP address of the PS110 and give it a name. I used PS326184_P1, which is the port name the Netgear software chose when using the PS110 on XP. Print away.... -- Tim Spencer |
