| How to disable permanently the driver signature enforcement feature in Vista Ultimate x64
Vista X64? I did run the following command but the feature is steel working: Bcdedit.exe - set no integritychecks ON. The feature is a pain in the us when trying to use beta drivers, and these drivers are the vast mayority in this moment. Any help is welcome Thank you |

At the moment, you can not. Well, the hackers have figured it out, but no mainstream program can do that, yet. ProNetworks is supposedly coming out with a version of VistaBootPro that will do that. We'll see. http://www.vistabootpro.org/ -Michael "killallspammers" <andrescas@comcast.net> wrote in message news:udeCLS9PHHA.4412@TK2MSFTNGP04.phx.gbl... > Hi guys, does any one knows how to disable the driver enforcement feature in Vista X64? > > I did run the following command but the feature is steel working: Bcdedit.exe - set no > integritychecks ON. > The feature is a pain in the us when trying to use beta drivers, and these drivers are the > vast mayority in this moment. > > Any help is welcome > > Thank you > |

F8 during startup. youll get an option to disable it but only for that session "killallspammers" <andrescas@comcast.net> wrote in message news:udeCLS9PHHA.4412@TK2MSFTNGP04.phx.gbl... > Hi guys, does any one knows how to disable the driver enforcement feature > in Vista X64? > > I did run the following command but the feature is steel working: > Bcdedit.exe - set no integritychecks ON. > The feature is a pain in the us when trying to use beta drivers, and these > drivers are the vast mayority in this moment. > > Any help is welcome > > Thank you > |

Thanks Troy, but I was asking for a permanent solution. The only permanent solution currently available is to sign drivers in question yourself. You can follow documents below to sign your drivers with test certificates and configure Vista to accept them: Digital Signatures for Kernel Modules on Systems Running Windows Vista: http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/system...kmsigning.mspx Kernel-Mode Code Signing Walkthrough http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/winlog...lkthrough.mspx As a side note it's hardware vendor responsibility to sign Vista x64 drivers they make publicly available (beta or not - doesn't matter). -- Alexander Suhovey "killallspammers" <killallspammers@anonymousdiscusion.com> wrote in message news:4B7A38FE-7EAD-4E3F-9B08-A59453EA9BC8@microsoft.com... > Thanks Troy, but I was asking for a permanent solution. > "Troy McClure" <g@s.com> wrote in message > news:FE19D55F-CD54-4B8A-84B1-388B47B201DF@microsoft.com... >> F8 during startup. youll get an option to disable it but only for that >> session >> >> >> >> "killallspammers" <andrescas@comcast.net> wrote in message >> news:udeCLS9PHHA.4412@TK2MSFTNGP04.phx.gbl... >>> Hi guys, does any one knows how to disable the driver enforcement >>> feature in Vista X64? >>> >>> I did run the following command but the feature is steel working: >>> Bcdedit.exe - set no integritychecks ON. >>> The feature is a pain in the us when trying to use beta drivers, and >>> these drivers are the vast mayority in this moment. >>> >>> Any help is welcome >>> >>> Thank you >>> >> > |

| RE: How to disable permanently the driver signature enforcement featur
killallspammers, Have a serious question, and a comment: Will you let this Forum know your results for attempting to force alien not-certified drivers into Vista x64? Simply, I'm curious because I don't think you will succeed because most likely after one, maybe two re-boots, Vista x64 will self-remove alien not-certified drivers; regardless, you have aroused my curiosity. -- Life is Wonderful while using Vista solo ! Correct. Driver signing enforcement is suspended only until the next restart. | Re: How to disable permanently the driver signature enforcement feature in Vista Ultimate x64 You're all making this too difficult. There is a program called VistaBootPRO. The newest version is 3.2. It's a free program that works great. After install click on the advanced options tab. Then use the drop down list to choose the operating system you want to edit. Then check disable vista driver signing. Click apply, restart your system. You're done. -- tinyman |

| Re: How to disable permanently the driver signature enforcement feature in Vista Ultimate x64
Before we get to disabling driver-signing checking -a very bad idea, by the way- may we know more about the situation? By what you wrote, It is my understanding that you have an HP laptop that ran Vista home edition, 64 bit. You 'upgraded' that to Vista Ultimate, 64 bit version some way or other and used a utility called "Driver Genius" to copy drivers from the 64 bit Home Edition system to the 64 bit Ultimate system. Now, did these drivers work with the Home system either with driver-signing checking on? 0r off? Exactly how did you install the Ultimate system? Is it now dual booting with the 32 bit system? running in a virtual machine? ...? I do not understand your reference to Vista boost. This is a system intended for use with certain USB 'thumb drives to speed system operation. It can be useful for systems which have 1 GB or less system memory. OK. I think I have it now. Thanks. If you could provide a list of those items which are not working, manufacturer and model numbers, perhaps we could hunt down the appropriate drivers for installation. I don't know how the utility you are using goes about its business but it is probable that those divers will not install properly that way. -- Tom MSMVP 1998-2007 "jareknyc" <jareknyc.3o15rc@DoNotSpam.com> wrote in message news:jareknyc.3o15rc@DoNotSpam.com... > > ye i did full back up of drivers from home edition, and then install > fresh ultimate and then tried to restore drivers from the driver > genious, > > all the drivers were working now i have a problem with some like > wireless card > > when i put f8 and then disable the signature then it went good but when > i put normally on drivers have problems > > > -- > jareknyc > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > jareknyc's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/members/jareknyc.htm > View this thread: How to disable permanently the driver signature enforcement feature in Vista Ultimate x64 > > http://forums.techarena.in > |
