I've done both on two different machines. This was one of the first things I changed when I installed (clean) build 5384 aka Beta2. See attachment. I've always thought those shortcut arrows were just useless. Hi all, Check out this site. This guy has a patch that will get rid of the shortcut arrow without the side effects of deleting the IsShortcut key. It really works great. Vista Home Premium X64 build 6000 updates and SP1. No such registry enty as the ones in your forum to get rid of nasty Vista shortcut arrow, and noting anywhere that says HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\lnkfile (that's a lower case L) 3. Delete the IsShortcut registry value. Nor anything like in in my registry? |
