    Sandisk SD card ReadyBoost

I am having a Windows Vista computer. I have used my cruzer mini, and Ipod as ReadyBoost and it worked fine. But when i try to do the same with 512 Sandisk SD card, it just wont work.

Is it like an SD Card cannot be used so ? Any idea?

    Thanks!

Yes, it is so. SD Cards are actually designed to work just with USB interface. No matter what SD card or Memory Stick you have , they do not utilize USB channels, but have their own pathway onto the System Bus.

Hello Cic!cone. That not completely correct buddy. There could be another reason as well like speed issue. I am telling this because i have many SD cards from different brands like Kingston,Sandisk, Generic, etc but none of them are fast enough to be used for ReadyBoost.

And hence pmela, your iPod worked with ReadyBoost because it is fast enough for the same.
