This issue may occur if Norton Antivirus is installed on the computer and the Deadlock Detection feature in Driver Verifier is turned on. To resolve this issue, turn off Deadlock Detection in Driver Verifier. To turn off Driver Verifier:
    1. Click Start, click Run, and then type verifier.
    2. After Driver Verifier Manager starts, click Display Existing Settings, and then confirm that Deadlock Detection is turned on.
    3. Click Back.
    4. Click Create Custom Settings, and then click Next.
    5. Click Select Individual settings from a full list, and then click Next.
    6. Click the settings that you want to turn on, make sure the Deadlock Detection check box is not selected, and then click Next.
    7. Click the drivers that you want to verify, and then click Next or Finish if you choose all drivers on your computer.
    8. Restart the computer.

ok, well i got the same error this morning..

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
Adevice driver attemping to corrupt the system has been caught. The faulty driver currently on the kernel stack must be replaced with a working version....

    Technical information:
    stop: 0x00000c4 (0x0000000000000000 0x0000000000000000 0x0000000000000000 0x0000000000000000)

    Hi gonewrong,

Have you started by checking device manager for devices with an exclamation mark or red X or question mark kind of status? Check event viewer for error messages, then you can go to start/run and type sigverif for unsigned drivers. It could be also possible that your pc might be having malicious malware/virus infection, so try to make an full antivirus scan also.
