Serious problem with /system32/winload.exe

My computer, on automatic update, downloaded this and it completely trashed my harddrive. I can't even get it to take my recovery disc. I have lost untold pics, files, and music due to this "update"! What's up with this? Any ideas or suggestions to help me get back online on my own computer?

Yes there is a way for that. You can fix your system first by using Live CD. Get one Windows Live Cd and boot your system from that. Then copy all your data and re-install Windows back after word from other bootable Windows disc. The Live CD will give you the drive folders which you can copy as per your need and get your data back.
