    Critical System Driver missing! 0xc0000225

I'm new to the forum so if this post thread is in the wrong section I'm sorry anyway.
I have had my vista for quite a while had some errors and viruses here and there but this has never happened before.
Whenever I turn on my computer the "Windows Boot Manager" comes up saying.
    File: \Windows\System32\Drivers\hpldzgl.sys

    Status: 0xc0000225

Info: Windows Failed to load because a critical system driver is missing, or corrupt.

This error message first come up when i turned on my computer it booted up was on the desktop I went to get a drink, came back and the black screen was there, now it comes up every time i boot up. I can't even boot up in Safe Mode because it needs that driver too. But I can still access the Hard Drive through my live Ubuntu on my USB.
Before making this thread I did some research for "hpldzgl.sys" and found nothing.
If you need any questions answered please ask.

It's a 32 bit Windows Vista Ultimate by the way.
I just searched in the system32/drivers folder it has hpldzgl.sys in it so what the hell is going on??

It's really important to identify the HP model. Without that the HP
support sites are next to unusable.
I'd also suggest that you look at the properties for the hpldzgl.sys
and post them. A fix, assuming the file is actually valid, may be quite
    simple.

Thanks for the response but what is HP? sorry I'm new to this.
And for the sys file its just a plain text document (text/plain) with no text in it.

    oh right sorry.
Um I'm using a desktop PC.
    Intel CPU Core2 Quad Q9400 2.66ghz
    Asus Motherboard P5QL Pro
    with a ATI Radeon HD 4650 1GB.
    If thats what you mean.
I put it together part by part.
I didn't buy it fully from a company.

PS: sorry for the late response

I think these are randomly generated names for fake critical drivers

HP is Hewlett Packard. However there's no mention of this in your post, so
are you using an HP computer or some other brand?

Some info about the make/model of your PC will be helpful.

That is quite possible! the original file mentioned is similar to one
used on older HP laptops. Malware infection is quite possible.

Scan with your AV software and your malwarebytes program, or go online to
an antivirus company's site and scan with their free online scan. Several
    companies have that.

As i said i can't the safe mode doesn't work, so i can't access my anti-virus. I can only access my Hard drive through Ubuntu

I'm very sorry I'm new to this. Is that alright /\ ?
I have a feeling this is a retarded question and its got nothing to do with my system, but to be on the safe side please can you answer my question.
Will that Windows 7 Rescue Disk work for me?
    I have Windows Vista

It would help if you quoted who you are replying to. You may think
you are in a 'forum' but most of the replies to you are from people
    using a proper newsgroup.
To access your hard drive download this rescue disk iso, burn to
a CD and boot from it. You will then be able to run any antivirus
program and also access the web for antivirus updates or downloading
    Malwarebytes etc.
    Win7 Rescue Disk:

Yes. I wouldn't have posted it if it didn't work on Vista.
It was created with the Windows 7 Preinstall Environment,
a newer type version similar to the old Bart PE XP system.
Here's the readme file included with the iso:

This disk was created with 32 bit Win7 so the Restore function
    won't work with 64 bit Win7 installations.
Use your 64 bit Repair disk to do a Restore on a 64 bit system.

When you boot this disk it creates a virtual hard disk X in memory.
Then it loads the Windows 7 pre-install environment (PE) into memory.
Then it installs most of the programs etc. onto X.
Nothing is installed or loaded onto any of your original disks, C,D,E etc.

Use the All Programs start menu for programs.

    [USB]
'Computer' does not refresh when a usb disk is inserted.
Use the yellow 'Explorer' icon instead and refresh with F5.

    [Shutdown]
The usual Shutdown and Restart menu doesn't work in a Win7 PE environment.
Use the Shutdown icon on the Desktop.

    [Registry]
The Remote registry ( All Programs > System > Registry) will automatically
    select the right Windows folder.
On 64 bit systems don't forget about the WOW6432Node key.

    [NT Password Editor]
If you have multiple internal disks you may have to browse to the
SAM security file in the target Windows folder.
Due to booting the CD, the drive letters may be different from your
    normal drive letters.
If the button marked '(Re)Open' is greyed out then click on the
Browse button ( marked '...' ) and go to:

    Some Drive Letter\Windows\System32\Config\

When the file is found the accounts will be listed.
    Select an account to edit.
The 'Unlock' button will enable the built-in Administrator account,
this is usually disabled by default.
To delete a password just clear the two boxes and click OK.
Don't forget to 'Save changes' before 'Exit'.

    [Included programs]
    Q-Dir Explorer-type program.
    Opera Browser
    Recuva File undelete program
    7-Zip Zip file handler
    Super Finder File search
    Spybot Malware cleaner
    NTPWEdit Windows password editor/remover
    RunScanner Registry editor
