Error 0x8007045D on SimpleTech External Hard Drive

I am running on Windows Vista. My SimpleTech External Hard Drive has the Error 0x8007045D.

The Hard Drive has 3 years worth of important pictures on it and I can't do anything with them right now. When I try copying any files or even opening any of the files on the drive, the whole computer freezes until I pull the USB cord, then the computer goes back to working fine.

Is there a fix for this Error?

If there is not a fix is there any way of saving these files of pictures that I can't lose?

The issue can be with the firmware of the hard drives. You have to go on the manufacturers site and search download for the firmware upgrades. Sometime due to issue with outdated firmware the issue appears. You might need to look for a latest update for the same. Second try changing the cable you are using. That can be due to the cable issue of the SSD. The External hard drive error can be cause due to this.
