DCOM Server Process Launcher terminated unexpectedly Error on Windows

I’m using the Windows Vista Home edition. A few weeks ago my Dell desktop started giving me error messages: “DCOM Server Process Launcher terminated unexpectedly” and “Plug and Play service terminated unexpectly” whenever I turn on my Internet modem and then it reboots. When you log in using Safe Mode, this problem disappear.

Recently, when I switch on, I only get a windows error recovery screen that request me to select either to ‘launch startup repair’ or to ‘start ‘Windows normally’. Selecting the first option will bring me back to the same screen and selecting the second option the PC only reboots. I have tried to startup using Safe Mode this time, but I still get the windows error recovery screen. Could someone advise how I can solve this problem. Thank you.

Check the services.msc for DcomLaunch which is the DCOM Server Process Launcher. It must be on autostart and when you logon it must be launch or it will pop out the error. Here is detailed solution. For that click on Start > Run > services.msc and then look for DCOM Server Process Launcher. Restart the service hre at the first and second failure set and third set false start no action. It's been three days I have the same problem and I noticed he had to go configuration panel / administrative tools / system / DCOM Server Process Launcher in the Recovery tab .
