Vista 0x0000007E BSOD Error
Afternoon,
I have a problem with the 0x0000007E error and i would much appreciate any assistance.
It all formulated from my laptop cutting out (i noticed it was very hot), and subsequently windows would not restart. This preceded in me using the product recovery to restore the computer which initially worked; however, since turning the laptop was turned off, windows fails to start. I've tried all the Advanced Startup options (F8) but they all return to with BSOD with the following message: Quote:
A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to you computer.
If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:
Check to be sure you have adequate disk space. If a driver is identified in the stop message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for driver updates. Try changing video
Check with your hardware vendor for any BIOS updates. Disbable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If yo need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select advanced startup options, and then select safe mode.

I have no VISTA cd; the only CD supplied was the podut recovery disc.
