Are you talking about the built-in "Administrator" (capital 'A') account? > How do I enable UAC on administrator, to make it like other members in > administrators group ? You can't, only the "Protected Administrator" accounts have that option. When you create a new admin account, it should automatically be a "Protected Administrator" (split or filtered token) account even if the UAC prompts are disabled. |

To enable UAC for the built in administrator account Start | in the search box type secpol.msc and press enter | Expand Local Policies | Security Options Scroll down the list of policies until you come too User Account Control: Admin Approval Mode for the Built-in Administrator Set this to enable and press ok Then from a command prompt type gpupdate "FromTheRafters" <erratic @nomail.afraid.org> wrote in message news:O8JVd8B8JHA.6084@TK2MSFTNGP04.phx.gbl... > > "Vilius Mockûnas" <v_mockunas@yahoo.com> wrote in message > news:ePmD5LB8JHA.1432@TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... >> Hello, >> >> UAC on administrator account is disabled by default (it allways uses full >> token) > > ??? > > Are you talking about the built-in "Administrator" (capital 'A') account? > >> How do I enable UAC on administrator, to make it like other members in >> administrators group ? > > You can't, only the "Protected Administrator" accounts have that option. > When you create a new admin account, it should automatically be a > "Protected Administrator" (split or filtered token) account even if the > UAC prompts are disabled. > |
