Service Pack 2?

I've tried five times to install SP2, but still get the error message
"Service Pack did not install. Reverting changes. Do not turn off your
computer." I've tried to install SP 2 with the downloaded package in
addition to Windows Update and also downloaded the cleanup tool. I've
disabled my Norton antivirus program and still SP2 will not install. I
already have SP1 installed on my HP Pavillion 32 bit OS with Windows Vista
Home Premium. Do I really need to install SP2? Thanks in advance for your
answers.

re: error message installing Service Pack 2?

Hello Lendav:

Free unlimited installation and compatibility support is available for
Windows Vista, but only for Service Pack 2 (SP2).

This support for Windows
Vista Service Pack 2 (SP2) is valid until November 26, 2009.

Availability of
chat or e-mail support differs depending on your geographic location.

For
customers residing in North America, chat and e-mail support is available.

Go to

<http://support.microsoft.com/oas/default.aspx?prid=13014&gprid=582034>

& select appropriate category (e.g., Installation).

Good luck

Need? No.
