| Installed SP2 and now computer crashes ???
OS Name Microsoft® Windows VistaT Home Premium Version 6.0.6002 Service Pack 2 Build 6002 Other OS Description Not Available OS Manufacturer Microsoft Corporation System Name STEVE-PC System Manufacturer Hewlett-Packard System Model HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC System Type x64-based PC Processor Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU P8400 @ 2.26GHz, 2267 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 2 Logical Processor(s) BIOS Version/Date Hewlett-Packard F.23, 04/12/2008 SMBIOS Version 2.4 Windows Directory C:\Windows System Directory C:\Windows\system32 Boot Device \Device\HarddiskVolume1 Locale Canada Hardware Abstraction Layer Version = "6.0.6002.18005" User Name Steve-PC\Steve Time Zone Eastern Daylight Time Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 4.00 GB Total Physical Memory 4.00 GB Available Physical Memory 2.68 GB Total Virtual Memory 8.17 GB Available Virtual Memory 6.67 GB Page File Space 4.29 GB Page File C:\pagefile.sys Windows update installed sp2 onto my computer and had no isues, I now find every time I insert my 8 GB memory card from my Fuji camera into the card reader on the side of my HP Computer the computer crashes and the blue screen comes up and tells me that Windows has shut down to prevent damage. this is the information, STOP: 0X0000007E(0XFFFFFFFFC000005, 0XFFFFFA6003AF4B84, 0XFFFFFA6006B2F958, 0XFFFFFA600B2F3303AF4B84, 0XFFFFFA600B2F958, 0XFFFFFA600B2F330 JMCR.SYS ADDRESS FFFFFA6003AF4B84 BASE AT FFFFFA6003AED00, DATESTAMP 49E8504D I had no problem with my card reader before the sp2 install Any help with this problem would be appreciated Steve |

After you install SP2 for Windows Vista and for Windows Server 2008, a sound device or hardware device may no longer work. If this problem occurs, install an updated driver for the device. ..." SP2 does not guarantee 100% device driver compatibility with your pre-SP2 system. So you should contact HP for potential driver support under SP2 -- Mike Brannigan " |
