Backup to Memory Stick?

I have Vaio VGN-SZ4 Vista Business Laptop

Is it reasonable to back up my data (all in a documents folder) to an
ordinary 120Mb memory stick?. There is ample space to overwrite each
weekly back up

I want a backup stored outside my computer or its environment. Thanks
Michael

Re: Backup to Memory Stick?

My only concern would be that flash memory drives have only so many
read-write cycles before they fail so you would need to consider that as a
possible point of failure in using that kind of device for a backup.

Re: Backup to Memory Stick?

I don't see why not, but it is always wise to rotate multiple backups.
Using 2 or 3 "memory sticks" on alternate days would be better.
