HELP! Computer won't boot... volsnap.sys

I keep getting THE blue screen. Everything I've tried I can't reboot even
with the recovery disc!!!

This is what I'm getting.......

Volsnap.sys – Address 85B1F0AE base at 85B1A000, DateStamp 477918f92

The error message suggests that a file is missing.

The Volsnap.sys file refers to the 'Volume Shadow Copy' service. So
there are two approaches I would use to solve this

1- Boot into safe-mode, load up 'services.msc' (from the run menu
option), and disable the 'Volume Shadow Copy' service (right click,
select properties, and disable)

2- Boot into recovery console, and replace Volsnap.sys with the
original one on the install cd. This should be in your %SYSTEM_ROOT%
\system32\drivers folder.
