Printers Disappear from computer. networked and local

Hi,

I have a desktop as well as a HP laptop running with Windows Vista and both are connected to a network. I am facing some strange problem with printers on both these systems. My desktop has 6 network printers as well as a local printer installed but whenever I try to print anything from any program, it doesn’t finds any of these printer. All networked as well as local printers disappears. The only way to make it work is reboot the system and then print but that also just once.

The same thing happens with my laptop also. My laptop wont have any local printer installed but it is not able to see any of the 6 networked printers as well. I have tried everything I can do but nothing seems to be working. Can anyone please help me out? Many thanks.

Probably this is the problem with Spooler service and the reason it works when you restart is the spooler service gets started but again stops due to some reason. What you can do is just go to start > run > type 'services.msc' and hit enter. Search for the Spooler Service and set it to Automatic.

By the way did you found anything in the Event Viewer regarding this? If yes, copy past the same here to analyze the same problem.
