error 1904 -failed to register .dll files HRESULT -2147220473

i am using vista business and during installation of software...i can
encountered error 1904 messages which failed to register dll files. Even
do i log on as administrator account.:confused:

Hoping for any help.

Even i am facing the same problem where i am unable to register a COM dll on Windows Server 2003 SP2 machine.
I get the following error " Load Library Failed -dynamic link library (DLL initialization failed)

I checked in event manager and found the error code as : HResult: -2147220473.

could not find any specific solution to this.
Kindly HELP!!!

I already find solution on that problem;

Please follow the ff: and it might help you too.

- You must enable the built-in administrator account
- Right click my computer and click manage
- Expand local users and groups
- Click users - double click administrator
- Clear disabled checkbox
- Click Ok
- Then right click the administrator and set password
- Click ok then enter the password

Note: This account will not read on the uac. Thru this settings you can
access anything you need

Thanks for your reply, but i still am having the same problem.
I have logged into the system as Administrator and have also checked for built in user account.
Also now i have 2 COM Dll's, i am able to register the first one but second one gives me the same error as Load Library Fail. However the same Dll gets registered on a different Windows Server 2003 Machine.
Really confused.

Hello friends,

I could solve this issue. Download latest dependency walker from net ( free) and open the file in this tool which you want to register. It lists all the dependency files which are not able find. download all the dependency files from the net and place it in same directory where the file has been placed. now go to run, type regsvr32 " file which you want to register" and enter.

It should work fine.

Thanks Bharath, I'm on WXP w BO31, I had to reinstall .Net and Designer became unfunctional, your solution worked it out.

How do got to know this kind of solution?!, I'm amazed and very happy to have my BO running again (after working on it a whole week end and two working days)!!!
