cant install diablo II on x64 ultimate

ive been palying d2 forever and i upgraded my comp and now am running 64
bit vista ultimate... i put the 1st disc in and try to stall and it just
gives me close program or check online. appcrash or something for an
error. hmm... any1 have any ideas lol

Thats weird

I went to a LAN party and installed Diablo II on my Vista Ultimate x64
and it worked perfectly first time

maybe there was an update that solved your woes? never mind, you can now
get your eye in for Diabolo 3! Happy hunting!

yeah i dont understand. ive even downloaded it from 2 different
places... nothing

Copy the discs to your hard drive, find the setup .exe right click it
and set it to run as admin and compat mode XPSP2? Worth a try maybe?

that doesnt work. i go into explor and then right click run as admin
and it errors....

Could it be possible that you downloaded the same thing from both
places? or the problem could be with your installation of vista...

this is the only issue. i HAVE the game cds aaaaaaaaaaand ive downloaded
the torrent 2 diff times. not sure what to think
