Mic not listed in Speaker Properties in Vista

I am not able to get any mic settings in the speaker properties. I had checked in sound but there is nothing available that I can manage. I was able to configure the volume settings, but somehow the mic is not working. I am not getting any sound from that. It is really frustrating to look for such minor thing.

Go the sound properties in Control Panel and then see there your audio input device is listed or not. This can be a kind of straight driver problem in your system. You an try re-installing the audio device once again. It will allow you to configure the audio properly.
