Did you make sure that your new laptop has a preinstalled standard bluetooth device? I have seen many that do not come with the driver pre-installed or either some do though. It will be better if you could contact the manufacturer from where you bought the laptop and ask them for a driver. What is the make/model of your laptop anyways?

re: Bluetooth Driver for my hp laptop

I have bought myself a HP Pavilion laptop and i checked that it came with a switch to turn on the bluetooth, which is placed at the side of the laptop. I also thought that the driver should be pre-installed in the laptop, but when i try to use it, then it gives me that message that i have shown you in the first post. I will ask the HP support for this issue.

Have you checked whether the bluetooth receiver shows up in the device manager or so? Also see to it if you the bluetooth item is shown in the Control Panel. After that you can also visit the HP website and search for a bluetooth driver for the laptop model that you have. There is also a HP update checking that you can do to find applications for your computer.

You can try to download the bluetooth software from this link - http://www.broadcom.com/support/bluetooth/update.php. After that always try to delete any old pairing that you have done with any device in your laptop and then try to make a new pairing of any devices that you do. Because of old pair information that is registered in your laptop, the new software may conflict and therefore you wont be able to connect to any new devices. Hope that this helps.
