Backup Tool causes Blue Screen of Death - nvstor.sys

I have a MSI P6N SLI mobo with core 2 duo processor. Also have 2gb of ram with GeForce 7950 GT graphics card and 500gb hard drive of Samsung and a 80 gb raptor drive. I am trying to use the inbuilt Backup tool of Windows Vista which is giving problems to me. All i want to do is backup all the destination of the files and folder on the Samsung drive from the raptor one. And when I attempt to backup, my pc crashes and then it gives me a blue screen of death with an error code of DRIVER_IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL caused by nvstor.sys. Can anyone help me, below is the crash file record:

    Problem Event Name: BlueScreen

    BCP4: 8078F3C4
    OS Version: 6_0_6000

The problem is actually with the nvstor.sys. There seems to be a bug with the nvstor.sys which might be conflicting with the drivers. So what you can do is, either install an old driver of the graphics in your computer and use it or you can wait till microsoft releases a patch for this issue in the next Windows Update.

Even I am facing similar problems with the same bsod, that i just caught few minutes ago. Also, i dont think that this is anything to do with backing up files or folders on a new drive because I am able to do the backup on my computer without any issues. All i wanted to know that from where i can find the dump log files in Windows Vista. The crashing is really irritating me too much with the error message nvstor.sys.

    3.7Gb (4Gb installed) RAM; ReadyBoost 4Gb; GeForce 8600 GTS w/ 256Mb,
and found the blue screen of death also upon attempting to backup the
computer using WVU - seems to quite around 39Gb (of ~90Gb) backup
    point.

Is there any update that MS has put forward as apparently Mr. B says MS
recognizes it is a problem with nvstor.sys?:frown:

Any update on this issue? I am having the same problem with nvstor.sys :(...

I'm having the same issue any updates?

I am also facing this issue but there is somethign that i have found about it, the nvstor.sys problem has to do something with the Nvidia controller. This problem is with either Chipset or the Nvidia Graphics Card? I can run my system for amny days but when i watch a movie online that forces the accelerator in the graphics card then it immediately results in Blue Screen of Death. I think that there have been some windows updates for sata controller and then networking controller and both are conflicting with the issues and causing the error. One should select never to install the Windows Update automatically.
