Vista laptop Device driver automatic detect and install not working

After upgrade to Vista, my laptop just stating behaving improperly. With XP things went fine, but a friend suggested me to go for Vista. After upgrade the automatic drive detection wizard failed to install a number of different hardware. Like the webcam, the audio drive, lan, etc. Nothing is working. The webcam is installed but it disconnect on its own after a few minutes. It is not constant. The same thing is applicable for the audio device also. My resolution is also affected a lot.

Go in Device Manager and install them one by one. If you have kept the Vista compatible drivers with you then it is much better. Because if you are trying to use the default drivers then this kind of issues is common. Second when you are running any driver update setup do not forget to that in Admin account. Anything in limited account will generate more errors.
