Change disk drive letter in Vista laptop

I am having a portable HDD that I frequently use with my Vista laptop. Until yesterday the driver letter assigned for this Portable was (F) but yesterday night when I connected it I found the letter was changed to (G) automatically and moved to my CD drive. As this is new for me I don’t have any idea how to change or assign the driver letters. Can anyone please let me know how can I assign letter F again to the same ?

Well it is very simply process dude. Just go to Start and type “Computer Management”, press Enter. This will open the Computer Management Console where you need to click on Disk Management option on the left side. Now on the right side, select/right click your CD drive and make it G again. This will turn your Portable HDD into F, and if it don’t do it automatically than do it manually by right clicking. That’s it.
