Clone desktop on multiple monitor with different resolutions

I have a HP 2510P laptop with me. It has Windows XP on it. Now I purchased a bigger monitor for getting common screen on multiple places. It is a 20" monitor. Now the existing one offers 1280x800 resolution maximum and the second monitor has maximum 1680x1050 resolution. I can get the screen working, but there is no exact resolution that I am looking for. I want to know that there is a way by which I can arrange different types of resolution on multiple screen at a single time.

Re: Best way to clone the desktop on a external and a laptop monitorthat have different resolutions

No there is nothing you can do. This type of features are only found in graphics card but they are also very rare. You can have a common resolution in much easier way. Or you can simply use the second monitor as your default display device. Then it will be possible to get right drivers.
