How to use Pioneer DVD-RW DVR K17A ATA Device

Where to find drivers for Pioneer DVD-RW DVR K17A ATA Device. I thought this devices does not need any kind of drivers but somehow it is a bit complicated to use the same. I have a Toshiba laptop. I checked in device manager and found some error code 10. I clicked on updates to find if there will be anything that worked, but still the issue lies the same.

Basically this type of optical media are plug and play devices. You do not need to find any drivers for them. I am stuck with the same problem. I cannot find any drivers with a old dvd drive. It works only in XP. While the drive is detected in bios and I can even boot OS from it. You can try the official website of your system manufacturer or chipset manufacturer. That is the only place from where you can locate right drivers.
