No Audio output device is installed

I had to use my restore disc for my windows vista. Since then I have no sound
. Have red x on volume and it says no audio device installed.I have treid
the uninstall and letting the computer install again , but that didnt work.
Can someone please help....

You need to install the driver for your sound card. What is the brand/model
of your sound card?

I am so lose when it comes to computers. I dont know what kind of sound
card it has .My computer is a emachine model w 3609m do you know if that
info would be on the computer somewhere... I did find where it is 32 bit

I am getting meassge on my volume control and not able to open any sound files.

No sound files are working on my computer. Please advise.

Is it windows vista base version problem

If you can locate the drivers (perhaps at the WEB sound of the soundcard
or PC manufacturer), reinstall them.
