Chicony Webcam for Toshiba suddenly not working

I have a Toshiba satellite pro A200 laptop which comes with Vista and has a webcam of Chicony company with 1.3 megapixel. The webcam used to work fine but suddenly this morning I was not able to work with MSN messenger, it was just giving an error that no webcam was detected. I have tried reinstalling the drivers but still no go. Even tried to system restore but that didnt work either. I hope that the webcam is not dead. Please help me in this issue.

Yes the exact same problem was happening with me and it seems that the driver Chicony Webcam supplied is buggy and doesnt work for Windows Vista. Normally, the problem persists only when we keep our laptop on sleep mode and after when we resume the laptop, the webcam stops working. So until we dont get a proper version of the latest driver I think we will have to wait for a while. In the meantime, we can use the old XP driver for this webcam that can be downloaded from here.

I had the same problem today with a Toshiba L350D running on Windows vista.
After googling (G=BF) i found this driver:

Chicony_Camera_Vista32_NB.zip

And....it works !!!!!!!
