I am having a HP NX9420 laptop. It has a wifi intel adapter. It was working fine, but suddenly it stopped working. I have a wireless setup at my home and it is the only source through which I can surf the web. I did nothing, but there were some new updates which I think are responsible for the problem. I checked in Device Manager where I noticed that the adapter is listed. But it is not working. I tried a number of update for it, but it is not working.

Go to the official support site of HP. Download the WAN Miniport SSTP driver. Then go in Device Manager right click on it and uninstall it. Restart your system. You can will find a new hardware found wizard on your screen. Follow the manual process of driver installation. If this does not worked then there can be hardware fault in your system. It is necessary that you must carry the system to your nearest service center if it is under warranty.
