    IEEE 1394 Host Controller

I have installed Windows Vista on my system and I have found out that it doesnt have a firewire built-in. Therefore I purchasd a new PCMCIA FireWire card so that I will be able to capture video from my Panasonic camcorder. After plugging the card under the IEEE 1394 bus host controllers, it is giving me some kind of yellow exclamation mark that says 'Texas Instruments OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller'. When i click on its properties then it gives me an error message "This device cannot start (Code 10)" and Driver Version 6.0.6000.16386. Now, can anyone tell me how do I fix this problem? Thanks in advance.

All you have to do is just go to the manufacturer's website and then download the Vista drivers and install it on your pc. If you are not able to find any drivers for the card that you have then you will have to contact their tech support and ask them whether they are going to release the driver for same or not. Then decide accordingly whether you want to replace the card with another one that is compatible with Vista or not.

I have also purchased a new Trust firewire card and even I am getting the same error message that is stated in the first post. I bought this card because it was said that it was compatible with Vista and when it is connected then it will be automatically recognized via the plug and play features. I dont know what should I do now and I have started pulling my hairs to get this thing working. If there is someone who knows any solution then please let us know.
