IEEE 1394 Host Controller

Hi,

My system doesn't have built-in FireWire. So i bought a PCMCIA FireWire card
to capture video from Panasonic GS85.

When i insert the card, under IEEE 1394 bus host controllers, an entry with
yellow exclamation mark says 'Texas Instruments OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host
Controller'.

From properties,

This device cannot start (Code 10) & Driver Version 6.0.6000.16386

How can we solve this issue?

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Thanks.

Go to the card mftr.'s website and download/install drivers for Vista.
If there are none, contact their tech support and see when they plan to
write some. Base your decision as to whether to replace the card with a
Vista-compatible one accordingly.

Hi Malke,

Thanks for your response.

I did email manufacturer support but didn't get any reply.

Think i have to buy a new card that supports vista from a better manufacturer.

Thanks again for your help.

Re: IEEE 1394 Host Controller

I bought a trust firwire card and i'm getting the same fault.
This card states that it is Vista compatible and is plug & play.
It's driving me insane trying to find some kind of fix for this.
If anyone stumbles upon the answer, please let me know.

Good luck!
