| Dynamic Volume Offline in Disk Manager. Invalid in DiskPart
I have a large dynamic volume consisting of 4 disks totalling 1.7 TB in size. Yesterday I dropped in a 5th disk to bring it up to 2.2 TB. When I extended the volume everything seemed to go fine and the disk size property updated itself. However, when I tried to explore the drive the machine completely froze up (no BSOD, just no mouse action). I performed a hard restart and now the drive shows up as Offline. When I try to reactivate it the message I get is: "The attempted operation is invalid. Either the parameters specified are invalid or the operation cannot be completed on the selected object. Refer to the Disk Management Help for assistance on the correct use of the attempted operation" Which is not helpful. In DiskPart, all the disks in the volume are listed as "Invalid". I've triple-checked my connections and everything seems fine. What I'd really like to do is to shrink it back to the original since it was working great. Any hints? |

Is this thing on? I'm hoping somebody can give me a clue about how to either repair this array in its current state, or shrink it back to the original configuration. Please?!?!
