Yeah, I have the same prob with the latest nvidia driver. I'm not using
dual monitors though, so I don't think that's part of the equation.

Yes. Many are having this problem. The drivers I have had the least problems
with are the original drivers that were installed when I loaded the
operating system.

Im having the same problem. I think every time the computer reboots it auto
installs the original display drivers, which conflicts with my Nvidia
drivers. As of now I can not figure out how to turn this function off. Its
driving me nuts, any thoughts would help!

Fixed the problem today. I brought my Geforce 6200 back to Best Buy for
$159.00, then went to Sam's and bought a Geforce 7800 for $99.00. This card
plugged into the brown slot on my mother board( I don't remember what that is
called) updated the drivers and problem solved. Ive been playing games maxed
out and serious video files and, knock on wood, no more freezing!

Re: nVidia Display Driver Stopped Responding

Hey There Guy and Gals
I am new to this blog but see that this is the place to be if you are
running Vista 64 and having problems. So here's the deal i am having the
same driver recovery problem an it happen in both SLI and normal mode i
would have to say that i am having more issues with it in SLI. I am not
new to computers by any means but there does not seem to be a fix i can
find which is said because i use to make my living doing computer
repairs. What makes the situation worse is that i have a notebook so
swapping out video cards is not an option. I knew going into this that
Vista 64 would have its problems since it realy a beta incognito but
damn this is ridiculous half my programs crash on start-up well thats
enough whining for one post i have listed my computer Specs below i look
forward to someone finding an answer cause lord knows it will be 4 to 6
months for a driver update since the drivers for notebooks aren't
distributed by Nvidia.

Computer Specs
