Since started using Vista I realized that there is huge problems with the drivers for any new hardware you install on your system. Since last week I am trying to get my Epson R300 printer work with Vista Home Premium laptop but yet unsuccessful. Whenever I try to install the same it says drivers missing.

Somebody please help me installing the printer on my Vista. Thank you.

Did you tried checking Epson’s official page for the drivers ? I can all drivers available for download right on their websites official product page. Even 64 bit is available. Just open this URL http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/s...Type=Downloads, select operating system from the drop down menu and download the drivers. Let me know if you face any problem.

Though this thread looks too old, I would like to ask TaTu whether you were able to solve your problem or not. I was facing the same on my Vista and here is how I managed to fix it. I found drivers for Epson R220 for Vista SP1 32bit OS, and simply installed it on my Vista where I need to run Epson R300. There was no problem with the driver installation neither with the test prints. I just got a warning saying Wrong Device but we just need to ignore it and everything works fine.

Well thank for sharing the trick HelpfulNick but are you sure it works on 64bit Vista system ? I don’t think because I just did what you said but getting the problem during the drivers installation itself.

I think that trick works only with 32bit computers and not with the 64bit. Need to find out something else.

I dont know what else you guys need to find out. Drivers are already available for both 32bit and 64bit Vista operating systems right on the Epson’s page here: http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/s...s&platform=All . why don’t you just there and download ?
