Re: basic optical mouse going berserk

Use caned air and blow away the accumulated fuzz and lint from the led on
the bottom of the mouse.

Re: basic optical mouse going berserk

The mouse that came with my recently bought HPM7750n did same on a smooth
plastic surface. Jumped to left upper corner of screen etc. Was better on
rougher surface but I reverted to old wheel mouse optical from previous
computer.

It's not a hardware fault.

I found that the Microsoft Basic Optical Mouse also does this in Vista.
Works fine when XP is installed but put Vista on and it jumps to an
edge of the screen at random intervals.
