I am not able to install a MIDI device on my system. It is a Vista system. I have a client who use his system for various audio processing work. He asked for Vista upgrade. I did the same and after that he is not able to use his midi device on it. I tried to locate a number of solution, but it looks there is no driver available for that. The device that Vista is not ready to install is - ACPI\PNPB006\3&2411e6fe&0=MPU-401 Compatible MIDI Device. Does anyone has answer for the same.

That can be due to some driver problem. You would have tested or located the right drivers before going for the upgrade. Vista is quiet buggy with older drivers. Now the only way lies is to locate Vista driver for that midi device and you can find that it only the manufacturers website. Also you must have checked your system before upgrading through Vista Upgrade advisor. It would have generated a clean report and offer you proper information.
