Generic PnP Monitor and Screen Resolution

I had just recently performed Vista Home Premium Upgrade. On Windows XP before I was using a 19" LCD in which I get maximum 1280x1024 resolution. Now after Vista upgrade things went worst. I am not able to get maximum resolution. I am stuck on 800x600. I cannot go above that. So this is a kind of display driver failure. I had tried to find the right edition I think, but still this issue appear.

Check in Device Manager. Is there any unknown device listed. If yes then go the official ATi website and get fresh drivers. Because I am sure the gpu drivers are not yet proper, due to which you are getting this issue. Visit the official ATi website and download the most compatible video driver. It is the only thing which is going to work.
