Xbox 360 Controller on any Vista PC?

Does Xbox controller works on Vista. I need proper information. I found a small articles on web that states, that I just need to connect and that's all. It will be detected and installed. It is a kind of pnp device. I am a bit doubtful about the same. I am trying to locate proper information, but ample of website just says the same thing. Is anyone using Xbox 360 Controller on Vista. I need some appropriate information on the same. Thanks.

Yes it is correct. You do not need to download any special drivers. Many time Xbox 360 controllers are detected as plug and play device. But if you still worry about the same then you can download the official drivers from Microsoft website and run the setup. It allows you a proper configuration setup and it works quiet well. There are tons of supported drivers are provided for Vista and you do not need to worry about the controllers compatibility.
