Ricoh Sd/mmc Controller 5c476 Vs Wpd Filesystem Volume Driver

There are two things which are marked as yellow in Device Manager. The first one is
RICOH SD/MMC CONTROLLER 5C476 and the second is WPD FILESYSTEM VOLUME DRIVER. Now I am having a 2GB SD Card slot. I can't use my SD card on the laptop. But the same card work when I use a USB Multimedia Card Reader. Later on I upgraded to Vista and everything stopped working. I have a ASUS laptop.

Vista is quiet buggy for drivers. Ample of devices does not work on it due to no compatible drivers. I have a onboard SD card reader. But after Vista upgrade it stopped working. I tried to locate the chipset drivers, but nothing worked. I found a answer from Microsoft that Windows XP drivers will work on Vista, but that is not completely true. For some old hardware you can't do anything. It will be a waste of time to locate drivers and make it work. Better dual boot your system and then check back.

Did you tried the official Ricoh website. There might be Vista drivers listed on the same. If you can find that the official website. Because those drivers will only work. Or else using Windows XP is the best alternative. There are some third party website that provide you driver download but somehow it is not 100% that it will work.
