SATA DVD-RW Problems with Vista RTM x64

There are two Sata DVD RW installed on my system. Both of them are detected in the BIOS. Now when I upgraded to Vista I found that there is some issue with drive while copying disc. The two drives which are listed are Plextor PX-755SA & Samsung SH-S183L. Both the devices looks to be working well and detected. After upgrading Vista one of the device failed to work.

Vista has issue with disc burning. I had seen some the disc that I burn is not identified in Windows XP. The best thing you can do to fix the problem is run a firmware update. That will fix the issue and if still it does not work then there are option with region lock stuff. Vista has major issue with CD/DVD burning. Try to use tools like Nero when you are creating a disc.

I am facing the same issue with using Sata II drive in Vista system. There are some issue with SIIG express card, that are by default found by the chipset utility. By default the optical driver are counted as plug and play device. But firmware update can help you to deal with hardware problems.
